The property is right on the river, with a pleasant courtyard. We stayed in the large air-conditioned room, which was was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were always ready to help but never pushy. The people of Bohol are amazing. They organized a private river cruise which left right from the property, and went to some small falls where we could swim, passing by the floating restaurant tours. We were accompanied and entertained by Jerris one of the most enthusiastic and friendly local students doing a work experience for school. They also organized a tour of the countryside in a tuk-tuk with Pedro. Great option to see the countryside close up with stops at zip line, chocolate hills, tarsier sanctuary, other animal sanctuary and waterfall for swimming. There is a restaurant onsite and their breakfast was good. One of us is vegetarian so we ate mostly at the restaurant next door which has a large vegetarian/vegan menu and fabulous food. Drinking water is available from water jugs anytime and prices for tours etc are reasonable.

The villa is up on the hill, so going there by foot combined with the sun is a bit challenging, but if you rent a bike its no prob so you will have to walk the hill only once. Or if you are not into walking, hire a tricy to get you up. The sunsets there are amazing.
I would absolutely rate Loboc as somewhere to visit!
I would absolutely rate Loboc as somewhere to visit! We had the most fantastic time staying at The Water to Forest Ecolodge and hired scooters to visit the chocolate hills and explore various waterfalls (head off early and you'll probably find you have Pangas Falls all to yourself (it cost about 20pesos to access & had a shop selling drinks and snacks on the roadside). The scenery is absolutely stunning and the locals are just the friendliest we've ever encountered. A beautiful place, I feel very privileged to have visited.

Loboc was a great place to explore the sights of bohol and the loboc river. Quite far from Panglao / alona beach so don’t recommend basing yourself here if you want to do more beach stuff/ island hopping. Would recommend one or two full days in Loboc- you can do the chocolate hills and tarsiers in the same tour. Also Paddleboarding down loboc river was really fun. Evening Firefly tour was special too! Loboc river resort was a great place to base yourself- and the food in the restaurant amazing! Avoid the animal park/butterfly farm it’s cruelty! But do go to the tarsier sanctuary in corella as they treat the tarsiers better (or so the lonely planet says!) than other places.

Loboc is a very small town so two nights at the fox and firefly was perfect for us. There’s lots to do- we did Stand up paddle boarding, firefly watching, Tarsiers, Twin hanging bridge, mountain biking, Loboc eco adventure park where we zip lined and did the cable car and lots of exploring! We ate at the Fox and Firefly breakfast, lunch and dinner- the food is amazing!!! We used our moped to travel around, without this you would need a driver.

The place have a beautiful river.
The place have a beautiful river. Stand-up puddling is definitely “must to do”: you’re just in the middle of a jungle river, it’s calm and silent, you can only hear the sound of birds, light noise of the palm leaves in case of a wind blow and water splashes, when your paddle touches it’s surface. You’re in the very heart of island’s nature beauty, it’s all just around you!

Great place to stay and chill.
Great place to stay and chill. Loboc river is very beautiful and calming to travelers especially when you try the river cruise (we got to rent a boat to ourselves). It has a lot to offer in terms of attractions, places to eat, activities to try and many more. Travelling here is totally worth it!
The property is conveniently located in Loboc area (so ideal if you are planning to visit chocolate hills, tarsiers sanctuary etc). Room was very nice and the restaurant had very good food too. They were very helpful in helping us with a firefly tour and renting a scooter, as well as arranging an airport transfer. Be mindful it’s in the nature so you might see a few animals (geckos and in our case a little mouse running on the edge of the roof). Staff was very nice though and checked our room when we were out for our peace of mind!
We had the great luck to choose this place to spend our Christmas. The owner and the staff made our stay unforgettable, and for that, we are very thankful.
The hotel is cozy and very clean with a small cabins around a garden. The rooms are beautifully decorated and had a big comfortable bed with several pillows, and outside you have a little porch to relax.
Also I recommend you to try the restaurant. We loved the carbonara and the chicken curry for a really good price.
Thank you all :)
We loved our stay at Water to Forest Eco Lodge! We stayed in the dorms and they are clean, comfortable and private. The staff are lovely! They gave us great recommendations for places to visit on our scooter. The food is soo good. We did the combo firefly and sunset SUP tour with Arnell and had a great time. It was nice to slowly paddle up and down the river and watch the fireflies. I would love to come back next time I am in Bohol!
nice hotel, easy to find with a motor bike. Good location in Loboc, so you can easily do a one day trip by motor bike to Loboc River Cruise, Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, rice terraces, Anda, man made forest, etc.
The light in the bathroom of our booked room did not work, so we got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Also the pool in the middle of the hotel is awesome.
This place was better than we expected, the location is beautiful, just in front of the river and with a good distance from the main attractions in loboc. They cook delicious food and the team is amazing, they are always there to help you with a smile! They make you feel like home! I’m really happy we stayed here, I would love to comeback! 🤍
We loved the location at the river and the design of the hotel. Beautiful terraces and plants all around, very quiet. The staff and the owner were very friendly and professional. They are really taking great care of the hotel. We were in the most budget room with a shared bathroom (1 more room) and it was all fine.
I stayed at Nuts Huts with my parents. We really enjoyed our stay in the green jungle during Christmas time. Chose to kayak in Loboc river. Also we experienced steam sauna that was a very relaxing evening experience. The staff were super helpful. Thank you so very much!
Thanks for the great authentic experience. We had such a great time in the jungle as well as swimming in the river. Property and staff were amazing and we strongly recommend it for anyone who wants to disconnect and experience Bohol
The location was just next to the Loboc river with the accomodation right in the forest. At night all you can hear is the sounds of the forest! The staff was very friendly and the food they prepared was delicious.
Located directly at the river. You can have breakfast at the river which is nice. The pool is also quite good. The staff is very friendly you can book many tours there
Hot shower with enough water
all of it - though its close to the river and a lot of trees and plants but less mosquito. the place was well maintained and clean too. a lot of beautiful flowers and activities to do.
everything was perfect
- the bungalow very cute and quiet with a beautiful terrace
- host and hôtel team very kind
- the location near the river
- the restaurant very tasty
Room is clean. The small balcony overlooks a beautiful padi field. 3 mins drive to Loboc river floating restaurants. You pay 20 pesos for self-service coffee.
Location by the River was nice, restaurant was good, staff was amazing. I also liked the architecture. And we did a standup board private tour which was great.
Close enough to town to walk but far enough that it’s not noisy, clean basic rooms, parking for motorbike and friendly staff. Loboc itself is a beautiful town
It's a good natural location by the river and so
authentic. Yes it's cheap but don't get to comfortable with it. You always get what you have for your money.
The view is spectacular. The staff and the service are outstanding. Located very close to zip lining, the tarsier, conservatory, and Loboc river cruise.
