I’m not really sure what happened…one minute I was looking at possible destinations for the July school holidays and then all of a sudden I’d booked flights to Kota Kinabalu and was planning two weeks in Borneo in early June.

Lazy afternoons at Salmon Haul. I rush from work to pick Emmie up from school and we choose – beach or bay? Salmon Haul is still secret, like Blackwoods was back in the day before the crowds discovered it. It’s beautiful, quite, blue and clean. Summer afternoons – you just have to get outside.

We all love our kids! But you have to admit that sometimes it’s more fun to leave them behind and head off on an adults-only holiday.

Oh I wish I was back at The Beverly Hills Hotel, sitting by the pool sipping bubbles, star spotting and relaxing without a care in the world. 

The days of sardine-like economy class travel are over, as long as you fly on an A380.

The A380 economy class is the new not-economy-class and has me wondering why, up until now, I have paid for “better” seats on long haul flights when A380 economy is fine.
