Why Club Med will be the first holiday we book after the pandemic

A holiday at Club Med will be the first holiday we book after the pandemic, when Australia’s borders open and we can travel again. You may not know this but Australia’s international border has been closed since March 202o, and while it is possible to leave, you need to apply for an exemption, it has to be for at least three months and there’s no guarantee of getting back in. SO we are waiting.

First, a bit of background.

Emmie and I have stayed at quite a few Club Meds. Before I had Emmie I couldn’t think of anything worse than All Inclusive holidays, but now well I love them. We have stayed at incredible resorts all over Asia – like Club Med Kabira, Club Med Cherating and Club Med Bintan Club Med Tomamu and Club Med Bali – in sunshine and in snow, and it’s always been incredible.

We were skiing (me not so well) at Club Med Tomamu in Hoikkaido Japan in March when covid really kicked off and honestly we felt completely safe and I was amazed at just how amazingly they handled the safety of guests, with new procedures, cleaning and health checks. We felt completely secure and protected in our little Club Med bubble, and then when our Prime Minister said to come home to Australia we did, flying back from Japan into two weeks of isolation.

So we have absolute faith in Club Med and I recommend them 100 per cent.

   2. You pay a $200 per person deposit to secure your booking.

   3. You pay the balance a month or so out from your trip
      I love this because the money stays in my pocket for that time, or if I don’t have the money together I have time to save. I hate when you book somewhere and have to pay straight up and they keep your money for ages.

 

Cancellation and full refund on bookings

I’m completely at ease as Club Med has offered full refunds and cancellation should we not be able to travel due to covid. So we get the discount price, get to keep my money in my pocket til a month before we travel AND if we cant go we get our deposit back. You just have to cancel up to 30 days before departure to receive the deposit back. Easy.

I trust Club Med 100% that they will look after our safety and we will have an incredible time. We just love everything about it and I feel like when can can finally travel this is the kind of holiday many people will be looking for.
