Each week I’m going to bring you info on how to grow your Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Here’s the first five tips so sign up, check your accounts are connected and start getting more Qantas Frequent Flyer points in your account.
If you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer then you could be earning so many more points in addition to the ones you get from flying. Qantas has agreements with lots of businesses that you’re probably using anyway, so make sure to sign up so you can earn even when you’re not flying.
If you’re not doing these simple points earns you’re missing out.
First, make sure to get your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership – but don’t pay for it.
If you’re not a Frequent Flyer make sure to get your membership. While it costs $99.50 to join, you shouldn’t pay it!
You can always find ways to get the membership for free.
You can sign up free if you’re already a member or when you join Woolworths Everyday Rewards or you can get your membership for free when you are approved for a points earning credit card.
Also, don’t assume that you will automatically earn points when you have an account with a business like those below. Most of the time you need to link them, so make sure to check below.
Here are five easy things you can do right now to boost your points balance and get those (almost) free flights sooner.
1. Sign up for a Qantas points credit card.
With these credit cards you get points for every dollar and a big windfall – up to 100,000 points – after three months if you reach the spend target. Most banks have these cards so all you have to do is apply and be accepted. Many people cycle through and get new cards every few months to continually boost their points by hundreds of thousands. You will generally get free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership when you have one of these cards. Just google Qantas credit card – you’ll have heaps of options.
2. Everyday Rewards
Earn Qantas points from doing your shopping at Woolworths, BWS and Big W. Just get your rewards card and select Qantas points and every time you hit 2000 Everyday Rewards, you’ll get 1000 Qantas points. With the cost of living atm you’ll hit those points targets pretty quickly. Just make sure you’ve selected the Qantas points option.
3. Fill up at BP
Just sign up to BP Rewards here and get two points per litre when you use BP Ultimate Unleaded, and one point per litre on all other fuels. You’ll also get one point per dollar for all purchases in the shop.
4. Switch to Red Energy for your electricity and gas
If you sign up to Red Energy you’ll get 15,000 points when you sign up, and one point per dollar when you pay your bill on time. I use these guys, just have to make sure to pay on time to get the points.
5. All Accor Live Limitless hotels
Sign up for an account with All Accor – or link your existing one – and earn 3 Qantas points for every dollar spent.
