Resort holidays are fabulous but after more than four years of organised luxe my feet had started itching for adventure that didn’t involve cocktail hour and a breakfast buffet.
I have always been a nervous flyer. I fly Qantas everywhere because I trust them implicitly, and I even pay extra to fly Qantas on routes where there is a lot of competition.
We’re in Borneo on a budget. It’s not too difficult but I am missing basics like room service and a hotel pool. However, I’ve found an awesome solution – use someone elses hotel pool, for a fraction of the cost of staying at the hotel.
